The Tails team is looking for a “Privacy loving Linux generalist”:

Emphasis on the last two items in the list of requierements:
“• Have guts feelings or ethical reasons to be interested in online privacy.

• Like to learn new stuff: Tails is big and you probably don't know everything yet — nobody does!”

If you feel like applying, do it now!

Also worth mentioning:

“If you are part of a group that is under-represented in Free and Open Source Software communities, we particularly encourage you to apply. We acknowledge that our project and team are not as diverse as we would like them to be. We understand that we're part of the problem. We want to be part of the solution.”

“Feel free to not include your legal name, gender, or photo in your CV.”

@lunar Mannn if my Linux and Python skills were a bit sharper I'd totally apply. Tails is amazing. ❤️

@ckeen @lunar I would love to, but I kinda feel like Tails deserves a real expert, someone who knows the ins and outs of Linux.

@ckeen @lunar haha imposter syndrom is a thing. Maybe an internship though, would love to learn more about the inner workings of Tails.

Tails is a full operating system. No one who can be an expert in all aspects of it. Experts can always be found when needed.

Maybe have a look at the duties of the foundation team:
A lot of the work is not about knowing the ins and outs of Linux. :)

Unless you are in a hurry, please apply and let the Tails team sort it out! It's also about joining a team with complementary skills. :)
